Our Story

About

Erin Radetich founded Sainte-Foy based on a medieval reliquary and divinely inspired purpose to symbolize women’s spiritual journeys and sacred connection to each other, our earth and the heavens. The modern mystical jewels are meant to adorn the body and affirm the spirit of those who wear them.

Symbols of Spirituality

Reminders of Our Soul's Purpose

The Sainte-Foy origin story truly began when I discovered the namesake reliquary in the Abbey Church of Sainte-Foy in Conques, France, while studying Art History and Religion in college. Covered in gold, gemstones and pearls, I was immediately captivated by the beauty and symbolism of the statue. Although I loved wearing jewelry as a form of self-expression growing up, the desire to create my own started after an internship at a museum dedicated to preserving sacred art, where I helped create pieces for their shop. While I pursued post-graduate education and work in interior design, I continued to make jewelry on my own, which organically grew into custom client orders featuring antique saint medals and semi-precious gemstones. Through degrees, jobs and moves, the reliquary remained close to my heart and mind. A particularly difficult period in my life became the most expansive and one that I am deeply grateful for, creating space for me to pursue a life that fully aligns with my values and authenticity. There, I was able to lean into my faith and purpose more deeply, where I felt called to create the first Sainte-Foy collection.

Sainte-Foy means Saint Faith and, today, the jewelry still represents the beauty of sacred art and architecture that originally inspired me, but has evolved to symbolize and celebrate the complexity of being female and faith’s role as a guide in moving through the vast array of life experiences. There is both the greater connection of faith women share with each other, regardless of specific religious beliefs or doctrine, and the personal connection with our individual spiritual journey and the divine. Sainte-Foy highlights the mystical side of Christianity that is more internal and introspective; evolution, strength, perseverance, grief, intuition, wisdom, joy and love, as well as our antediluvian and inseparable connection with nature, found in most religions and spiritual rituals. Meant to adorn the body, serving as anchors of faith and visions of the spiritual journey, my hope is for Sainte-Foy jewelry to be symbolic of both personal and shared spiritual experiences, providing a place for women to connect with the divine, each other, and passionately embrace their own faith, purpose and inner wisdom.
